Our series theme this year is “Raiders of the Lost Art.” These films will “take you on an incredible journey into the world of opportunist thieves, forgotten masters and theft on a continental scale that left some of the world’s most precious works of art on the edge of destruction.”

Film: Leonardo DaVinci and the Mona Lisa. Through rare archival footage, re-enactment, and expert commentary, see how famous works of art have been stolen and how many - not all - have been recovered. "Raiders of the Lost Art" tells the fascinating stories behind such famous heists as the Mona Lisa.

Speaker: Independent Art Conservator Eileen Sullivan will speak about how artworks are authenticated.

“Meet Me at the CAM” presents lectures, films and artist talks covering a wide variety of historical and contemporary art-related topics.

Admission is free for Castellani Art Museum members, and $5 suggested donation per program for non-members. Membership signup is available at the registration desk at each program. Membership applications may also be downloaded from and mailed to the museum prior to the series. Each program begins at 10:00 a.m. with light refreshments and coffee.
